Well it's time to pack up and head for home. We've had such a great time in this wonderful country, but we're ready for our home comforts. We're longing for friends and family, radio without adverts, cranky but familiar English plumbing, the smell of wet dogs and the clatter of doggy nails on the tiles, the singing of the sparrows in the hedge outside our bedroom window, driving on the right (ie left) side of the road, roundabouts instead of 4 way stops.... and a really good cup of tea.
Thanks so much to all of you who follow my blog; it means so much to me to have your wonderfully thoughtful and caring comments. I promise to be in touch with all of you when I'm back home and I've caught up with my sleep!
Til then... au revoir xxx
have a beautiful trip home

I've really enjoyed your trip too. I've been to Canada several times, but only to the cities so it was great to see a bit more. It was lovely to see your photographs as you documented your journey and I loved seeing the really fine portrait photographs of your children exploring and at play. I thought to myself more than a few times that your holiday pictures looked like an ad for a magazine they were so well done.
Safe journey

I'm on holiday too, using Northampton as a base. We've seen and done loads, which I'll blog about when I get home, but I've been following your holiday with total pleasure!
As usual, I adore your photos. They're truly magical.

Hi welcome back. Good to know you are only down the road. Sophie has such a divine figure and looks like a natural wild child model in every pic. You must be very proud of her. Looks like you had a fab time. Sorry about aunt Dulcie. Must catch up soon. Not sure about Jools Holland though because of the weather, but will do something soon. Robyn xxx
